Lillie is a multi-media journalist, producer and writer.
She is currently completing her fourth year in journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University with a minor in political science. Throughout her time at TMU, she has volunteered for many student publications while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
With a passion for visual storytelling, Lillie currently works as an associate producer at CBC News The National. There, she pitches and helps produce feature interviews, current affairs pieces, and national panels.
Previously, she worked at a hyper-local community-based media outlet, The Green Line, where she covered Toronto city hall meetings and reported on the impact policy changes would have on various communities and their members. She also helped train community journalists on how to cover/note-take city hall meetings. Lillie was also a news editor for TMU’s largest campus paper, The Eyeopener, where she had to stay up to date on campus news and broke stories that The Globe and Mail and Toronto Star covered.
Lillie is a passionate storyteller who aims to connect with and create positive change in various communities. When she’s not working on her next story, you can find her reading a book, listening to music or watching some of her favourite movies.
